What a marathon! Wednesday was a long day. We figured by the time we arrived at a hotel we had been awake 22 hours thanks to shifting time zones. My bio clock has yet to adjust. Spent yesterday strolling around the city Centre
We visited the memorial to the bombed cathedral which despite the intervening years still presents a powerful image. On a lighter note the statue to lady Godiva is bedecked with blue ribbons as a show of support by the Sky Blue Trust to support the local football Club's retaining it's ground.
Today was a train trip to Cheadle Hulme school where Lex's dad went in 1920's
We had a great tour by a young lass Lucy, who is a former student with a delightful accent. She told us it is rumored that J.K.Rowling was so inspired by the view from the train that she modelled Hogmwarts on the school. (?)
So tired tonight I must fall into bed.
